The Illinois State football program headed into the offseason having to fill a big void left at quarterback by four-year starter and the school's all-time leading passer in Matt Brown. That loss may have lessened a bit Thursday, when ISU head coach Brock Spack announced that former Iowa State quarterback Jared Barnett had transferred to Illinois State.
