Crazy stuff here in Philly.

Is Foles going to be able to fit the Kelly system? Or might they look to bring in some competition for the kid?

kelly will fail in the nfl just like spurrier did.

I have no issues with the Eagles failing, in fact I would love that to be the case always. But more and more the NFL has been changing how teams play offense, look at the Redskins. There are aspects of the college game that are being used. The Patriots have been adpoting parts of Kelly's offense and it has worked. So, he has a shot and it is worth a chance for Philly to. Any coach is an improvement over the Walrus Era.

Are the Eagles getting 52 different jerseys as well?

Commit NCAA violations. Win in college. Take big money NFL job before any sanctions come down. Let the university and players clean up the mess.

Pete Carroll approves.

As long as they don't go back to the circa 1970 white helmets with green wings.

Imagine if they keep Vick, he could turn the ball over 100 times a season in a face paced offense like that

That was 1968. I hate the Eagles but for the love of God, can't anyone come up with something more recent than that? They harp on it on ESPN like it happened last season.

Lane Kiffin approves also, but since he can't win at USC or UT nobody wants him.

I'm thinking Vick could be back with Geno Smith rising up the draft board

Meh, not sure I would compare the 2 just based on style. Spurrier wanted to be out by 3 to get a round of golf in every single day. Chip Kelly is 49 and never even been married. He lives for football and based on how he has handled this situation plus the fact that he felt the need to go for 2 on the first TD of every game, I think he certainly has the ego to want to be successful

Have to wonder if Kelly will bring the placards with 4 different pictures on it to Philly?

Philadelphia Post - Google Asks Is Chip Kelly Gay (http://blogs.phillymag.com/the_philly_post/2013/01/17/google-asks-chip-kelly-gay-eagles-coach/)

Today in the Inquirer, one former NFL assistant says of Kelly: “The guy’s a very sharp, witty, intelligent person. He’s a football junkie. He’s not married, he has no kids. That allows for a lot of football.”

And there’s this from Wikipedia: “Despite his fairly charismatic personality, Kelly is reluctant to discuss his life outside of football. He has a small, tight group of friends back home in Manchester, New Hampshire who never speak about him to reporters.”

Of course, none of this means that Chip Kelly is gay. And honestly, what would it matter if he is? But clearly fans out there are curious.

For the Nova fans BWest twitter said he met Chip tonight and Chip reminded him of the time he returned opening kickoff to the house vs UNH

My first reaction to Kelly is 'skeptical'. But from what I have not read and listened to, I think the guy may be what's arriving in the NFL. It won't be the "Quack Attack" because you can't run that up tempo offense all the time with limited roster size. He'll play to the strengths. Key, for me, is getting their DEFENSIVE house in order. I say bring in Lovie Smith as DC.

Heard them discussing Kelly to the Eagles on the radio (97.5 WPEN) today and the best quote to sum up Philly's thoughts on college football was... "If he can take a no-name like Joe Shantos and win games in New Hampshire, imagine what he can do with talent here on the Eagles."
