Tough to fix stupid.

From what I have read in the local paper- I wish I could find the story- it is still hushed up. Basically, none of the other players would help her after she was punched. And I suppose it is "the buck stops here" mentality- someone in authority has to pay. If I find the follow up- where the AD is currently coaching the team- I'll post it.

Here was the article that I read on Thursday. I haven't heard of any updates. Hamline was connected with the Methodist Church- I don't know how much that they are today. My cousin was an all-conference d-back in 1984 when I believe they had their last MIAC title. Tressel's brother was his head coach.

Reading between the lines, it was New Year's Eve, the girl was part of a group of students who had traveled with the team and was staying at the team's hotel, I'm guessing there was some partying going on, the events are likely the result of drunken stupidity, the other players are being disciplined for being minors in possession or under the influence, and the coach is in trouble for letting it all happen.

The entire team (14 players) were at the hotel room party when the girl was beaten. Her face looks kilter she was hit with a tire iron and she clearly needed medical attention. Not a single player helped her get the medical attention she needed, and according to police reports, they cited the team curfew for not assisting.
