Interesting read. If this comes to pass it would probably have an effect on the number of FBS transfers FCS schools will be able to sign. More than a few FBS transfers who would otherwise come down to this level to play would be able to stay in FBS and play for another school without waiting a year if they have the grades.

I like it. Yeah, some FCS programs will take a hit, but I always hated penalizing a kid for moving on after he graduated, or things didn't work out for one reason or another. As far as the football factory problem, that ship has sailed.

In related news, coaches would also be allowed to transfer if their players' average GPA was 2.6......Wait......:p
