STATESBORO, Ga. -- Eric Ferguson scored 24 points and Georgia Southern overcame a late double-digit deficit to beat Georgia State 68-64 in overtime on Saturday.
Georgia State took a 55-45 lead on a Markus Crider free throw with 1:58 left in the game. But the Panthers were held scoreless the rest of regulation, and the Eagles went on a 10-0 run that was capped by Ferguson's game-tying 3-pointer with 21 seconds left to send the game into overtime.
