Great news for the Southland Conference!

Sam Houston State selected to appear in fifth annual
NCAA BracketBusters event in February

HUNTSVILLE -- Sam Houston State, winners of the 2000 and 2003 Southland Conference men's basketball championships and runner-up in the league last season, will participated in the fifth annual BracketBusters event in 2007.

The two-day men's college basketball extravaganza pitting potential NCAA Tournament hopefuls against each other on February 16-17, will feature 13nationally televised games selected from an expanded pool of 102 teams.

Jesus. You know ESPN is reaching when 4 BSC teams are in the bracketbuster tourney. :p :p :p :p :eek:

I forget if UC Davis is officially in the Big West this year (I don't think so), so that means all 8 teams in the Big West participate. Who wants to play UC Riverside????

Glad SHSU and Northwestern St were selected...

I thought the whole SLC was selected based off of what we heard last year, but atleast we have two schools who can hopefully make some noise...

Pretty sure we had 4 last year. Big Sky is actually one of the top ten mid-major conferences - and don't forget the Griz performance last year in the NCAA's!!
