1. K. Harvick
2. R. Newman
3. J. Gordon
4. K. Kahne

Grizbeer, what's up with Matt Kenseth this year? He just hasn't made many headlines. This guy is only two years removed from a Championship, and he is having a terrible 2005 season. I hope that he at least makes The Chase. He would have had a decent finish last week if Junior hadn't slid the #15 into the #17.

He would have had a decent finish last week if Junior hadn't slid the #15 into the #17.Kenseth has ran pretty well this year, just a lot of bad luck - blown engine at Daytona, blown tires at California and Phoenix, and of course the wreck last week. His only real bad race was Darlington from what I remember, just had a lot of problems with the car.

It does seem like when Kenseth has a good car and running in the top5/10 he blows a tire, so maybe they are too aggressive with camber to make up for how loose the cars are due to the new tire/spoiler package. I think they will get it turned around and in the top 15 by the end of July, but I don't think he will make the chase.

Just back from Dover, whew!! WHAT A Scorcher!! I'm burnt red and resemble a crustation. Pretty good race, Bifffle had 'em covered from the halfway point on. Martin and Jimmy Johnson looked like the only competition if they had another 15-20 laps. Gordon can't be happy with the little 'love' tap from Stewert, ended his day early. Can't wait til next Sunday, get to do it all over again at Pocono, just hope it's not about 125 degrees in the stands. I dont know how many bottles of Aquafina they sold today but i'm sure their stock rose pretty well.

No Hansel, It is a Harness (Standardbred) Horse race track. Harness racing has always been a big money maker in Southern Delaware and Maryland. Dover Downs was originally built primarily for Horse racing and betting. Harness racing is currently done during 2 seasons at Dover, late winter and early spring, and the fall.

The Monster Mile was added on as an after thought when NASCAR committed to 2 races in Dover during the late 60's. In the late 60's NASCAR was trying to break into the Mid Atlantic/Northeast Market and Dover was as close as they could get. The deal they offered was good enough to build the Car Race Track at the same time that they built the harness race track.

Early on the drivers nicknamed the track the "Monster" . The High banking all the way around the track (even the straightaways are banked) encouraged high speeds which also allowed for numerous crashes. Drivers joked that at Dover one small mistake and the "Monster would get ya" (the unforgiving walls at the turns).

During the races you can still bet at on horse races throughout the country (they have off track betting) or gamble at the slots casino next to the track.

Surely the high temperatures, intense sun exposure, and the threat of dehydration didn't prevent you guys from having a few adult beverages?!

That track is really cool. I would love to take in a race there someday. It looks like a lot of fun. Have fun at Pocono next weekend!

plus your driver picked up a new feud thanks to the wreck with Kyle Busch on Saturday - it will be interesting to see what comes out of that.
