Hampton tops the preseason poll that came out today from the folks at Sheridan Broadcasting Network.
We'll get #1 vs #2 in the poll that determines the Black National Champion early in the season so that team will have the inside road to the title. Other big games this year in BCF with major implications based off this are AAMU vs Grambling and the big battle in the MEAC between SC State and Hampton, which has had major conference and I-AA playoff implications in recent years...

HAMPTON, Va. – For the second time in as many years, the Hampton University Pirates will open the season as the top ranked team in black college football, according to the Sheridan Broadcasting Network (SBN) Preseason Poll released today.
The Pirates, who won their fourth SBN title under Coach Joe Taylor last season, received 20 of the 30 first place votes from a nationwide panel of voters. Hampton ended the 2005 season in a tie for first place with Grambling State, as both teams shared the Black College National Championship.
