You weren't the better team back then. We just changed our defensive strategy to what would normally seal the win. Stupid move on our part, and you won, and then got eliminated the next round.

No offense, but this isn't about finding the "better" team. It's about winning. Better, and best are subjective. The score is what ultimately matters. SHSU won that game. But EWU was up by 20 with 5 minutes to go, and did what most coaches in that situation do. They went conservative on D and tried to preserve the win. In most situation, the strategy they used works. With that game, the Bearkats had the good fortune of recovering a couple onside kicks, and doing the quick passes to the sidelines stopping the clock each time. If EWU didn't change their defense, or SHSU missed one of those onsides, they would have lost. The players did their part. It was a coaching decision that cost the game. EWU was better in most facets, but lost. That is not uncommon in football. But the system we have is one based on wins. That's what determines our champion. Not stats. We lost that game. No argument from me. It just sucked because we dominated you. It was a long time ago, but I look forward to the opportunity to play you guys just for that, especially in the playoffs (considering we have a home and home coming up.) I don't care if EWU is better than SHSU or not. I doubt we will be in several areas. I just care that we win.

Yeah...I was waiting for this. Let me see here...I think that was our second highest point total of the season right behind UND. It's a good thing we were up against a MVFC defense instead of the BSC where no one evidently plays on that side of the ball...**** could have really gotten out of hand.

But I digress. What's important to note from people in the know who have watched the BSC all year is that we are 1) soft and, 2) over-rated. That simply doesn't play down the stretch and into the playoffs.

(Forget that we are 11-0 Nov-Jan going back to 2010 and 22-3 since 2007. We didn't have red colored turf back then!)
