In the past 24 hours they have traded relief pitcher Scott Shoenweiss to Cincy and today finalized a deal with Boston for Eric Hinske for a PTBNL or cash considerations.

Maybe they have realized they are not going to over take the Red Sox & the Yankees. Kind of sad because if they were in the NL they would have a shot at the World Series.

If Tampa Bay was in the NL, they'd have a shot at the World Series...

If AGS formed a team and played the NL, they'd have a chance at the World Series...

The team the finishes last in Williamsport would have a chance at the World Series in the NL.

Better yet, make it the English soccer and promote and demote teams to and from the NL based on performance...

Right now, the Mets and probably Dodgers or Cardinals would be promoted to the AL, while KC and Tampa get demoted to the NL! xlolx xlolx

All right enough National League thrashing. We'll see what happens when you AL fans have to deal with the Mets or Dodgers in the World Series.

Can't believe the Jays got rid of Hinske. And in their own division no less. I thought Hinske was one of the young players they were trying to build around. But then Moneyball guts like J.P. Riccardi are known to do crazy things sometimes. I'm glad my Dodgers got rid of our Moneyball guy, Paul DePodesta before he traded away all of our young talent.

Even the Mets themselves are asking themselves if they are really that good or they just play in a terrible league and division. The AL will win the WS in 5.

Mets 3-6 vs. Yankees and Red Sox, 6-9 overall vs. AL

Dodgers 4-5 vs. A's and Angels, 5-10 overall

Both teams 2-9 on the road vs. above teams while AL has home field for the World Series. It ain't over 'til it's over, but man, the AL Champ will be a solid favorite.

How many years in a row was it that the Wild Card team won the World Series, so alot of times, the best team doesn't win

Everyone blamed Hillendbrand before, but this latest incident shows that Gibbons is probably the problem there. I expect him to be fired after the season.

Actually, Lilly showed him up and wouldn't give him the ball. I think most managers would have done something, maybe not shove a player, but something
