PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- For the seventh consecutive season, the Elon Phoenix football team has seen at least one of its members place in the top 20 in the balloting for the Walter Payton Award which is presented annually to the top player at the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level. This season, senior wide receiver Aaron Mellette placed eighth in the voting.
