N Hampshire 17 Wofford 30. Wofford runs all over New Hampshire.
C Arkansas 31 GSU 35. Closer than most believe.
Coastal Car 20 ODU 54. Blowout, Coastal scores some points though.
Stony Brook 31 Montana St 42. SB is making it a game at halftime, then the Bobcats pull away in the second half.
Cal Poly 31 Sam Houston 24. Cal Poly comes up big with a nice playoff win. Matchup problems on D for Sam and the Mustangs runs all over SHSU.
Illinois St 21 ASU 28. Could be the best game if Illinois State's defense comes to play.
Wagner 7 E Washington 38. Wagner had a nice performance against Colgate, but Eastern Washington is a whole new level.

NDSU over SDSU 37-17- First game didn't seem that close, late garbage SDSU TD made it seem that way. Bison bye week helps.
Wofford over UNH 27-24- With 4 seconds left Wofford hits a 42 yd GW FG.
GSU over UCA 31-21- GSU grinds there way to the next round.
ODU over CCU 48-14- This game will be over in the 2nd quarter
MSU over SB 27-23- SB is pesky and will give MSU more than they want.
SHSU over CP 38-17- SHSU shows why they are a force to be dealt with.
ASU over ISUr 24-20- This could be the game of the playoffs. Coin flip type of game.
EWU over Wagner 48-13- Wagner is amazed by the red carpet.

South Dakota St 13, North Dakota St 27 - I expect the Jacks ground game to come back down to earth significantly in this one. It will be close until late in the game when the Bison put it away.
New Hampshire 27, Wofford 41 - Wofford runs all over the swiss cheese Wildcat defense and controls the ball for around 40 minutes in a convincing win.
Central Arkansas 38, Georgia Southern 28 - Calling an upset here as I think these teams are trending in the opposite directions heading into the playoffs.
Coastal Carolina 28, Old Dominion 38 - I think this will be a bit closer than most would expect but Heinecke and the ODU offense are just to good for the Chanticleers to contain down the stretch.
Stony Brook 13, Montana St 24 - The Bobcats are able to contain a pretty one dimensional (although very good at that dimension) offense and win it with their defense. What a novel idea from a Big Sky team!
Cal Poly 21, Sam Houston St 45 - I think the Bearkats score early and often in this one and pull away early en route a convincing victory.
Illinois St 27, Appalachian St 24 - This is my prediction for the best game of the day. I think MVFC offensive player of the year Matt Brown leads Illinois St to a comeback road win.
Wagner 28, Eastern Washington 48 - In the battle of the birds the Eagles leave no doubt as the Seahawks travel 3,000 miles to get throttled by a superior offensive team.

SDSU 17 NDSU 16 - Two defensive teams battle down to the wire. Only way the game isn't tight is if TO or special teams get points. Jacks offense is slighty better than Bizon offense. This is, according to Sagarin the #1 vs #3 FCS teams. This game should have been a semi-final match-up, not a 2nd round (and 1st for Bison). 100th game between Jacks and Bison!
N Hampshire 20 Wofford 28 - Wofford Option gives fits to UNH.
C Arkansas 33 GSU 35 - Central Ark is much better than Ga Southern wants, but the option team prevails again.
Coastal Car 17 ODU 41 - ODU offense gets clicking early and often. Pretty much done at half-time. Sorry Beach Chix! :)
Stoney Brook 28 Montana St 27 - Stony Brook, like the Jacks is this year's Rodney Dangerfield of the play-offs. IMHO, they are a top 5 team that is discounted because they play in a "lesser" conference. MSU has Sac St. as their signature win. I'm not sold that MSU is a great team this seson, despite their record.
Cal Poly 41 Sam Houston 45 - Option vs a solid D team, that also has a good offense. This will either be a tight game (which I believe occurs per scores listed) or this will be a SHSU blow-out.
Illinois St 30 ASU 28 (Best Game) - Best match-up of two good, but chinks-in-armor teams. Ill St with very good offense and ok Defense, but does well on road vs a legendary team on their legendary field in front of a capacity + fervent fan base. This game should be a doozy!xdizzyx
Wagner 7 E Washington 23 - EWU turns Wagner the color of the EWU field. xasswhipx

I picked them because of seeing them last year. They are a tough, smash mouth team that will get after you. And, SHSU ran for 428 yds on Bobcats last year. Just get ready, SBU wont be intimidated in Bozeman.

Based on what I saw last year, I believe MSU can't stop the rushing attack of SBU and also MSUs recent history of getting blown out in the early rounds doesn't give me much confidence in them.

CrazyCat - we basically have 2 touches with MSU the last 12 months...a head-to-head match up in 2011 quarterfinals with majority of both teams returning...result = a 49-14 Kat victory & one like opponent this year, SFA. You guys scored 9 pts with 2:30 left IN BOZEMAN to erase a 35-34 SFA lead & the Jacks scored 14 late pts (last 10 minutes of the game) on a NEUTRAL field to otherwise erase a 51-28 curb-stomping. So you tell me...what SHOULD we go off of? And as pissed as I STILL am over our scheduling (most of us are) I still see it like this: Bobcats & Kats are both 0-1 vs 2012 playoff teams. 10-1 sure does look good but Kats' 8-3 record is skewed by 2 teams who knocked off the current #1 FBS team in the country.
So, while NOTHING is guaranteed on paper, stats don't matter, etc - it's all fodder on these message boards. But, these are the reasons why, I personally, think MSU is susceptible. But then again - EVERYONE is. Beauty of playoffs.

I fully agree with the last part. IMO it's hard to compare anything from earlier this season yet alone last year.

Wasting your breath, UCA. Caribbean 'predicted' a SH loss in every playoff game last year as well. Of course, none of these teams left are as good as Delaware. xthumbsupx
I am willing to listen, but you know in the end last year Carib proved correct

I picked them because of seeing them last year. They are a tough, smash mouth team that will get after you. And, SHSU ran for 428 yds on Bobcats last year. Just get ready, SBU wont be intimidated in Bozeman.
We're ready to take that next step with the possibility of multiple home playoff games, which is so important. I understand the doubt, but this is a different team, different year. SH better get ready for a trip to the great white north.

South Dakota State 14 North Dakota State 48. Bison begin title defense in grand style.
New Hampshire 42 Wofford College 41. Quick strike 'Cat O barely offsets deliberate strike WC O.
Central Arkansas 14 Georgia Southern 38. GSU ground game sets pace for solid win.
Coastal Carolina 7 Old Dominion 54. Monarchs begin march to NC appearance in dominating manner.
Stony Brook 17 Montana State 21. CAA gets a live wire in 2013, but Bobcats just too strong in 2012.
BEST GAME: Cal Poly 27 Sam Houston 21(OT). Signature upset of the 2nd round. Well played on both sides of the ball by both schools.
Illinois State 10 App State 45. SoCon gets two through to 3rd round in forebodingly easy manner.
Wagner 7 Eastern Washington 55. NEC's moment in the sun is altogether too brief as Eagles are altogether too ready to advance.

Not sure why all the scores in the 20's or higher for SDSU, outside of a couple garbage late TDs NDSU hasn't given up over 20 points this season, 20 & 21 but late TD's when the game was double digit leads.
Agree with this.
This Bison defense will hold SDSU's offense again.
A rested Bison team will win by 2 TDs.

UCA 10
ODU 41
CCU 24
MSU 44

Cal Poly 28 Hope I'm wrong on this one and poly pulls out the W
ASU 21
ISU 20 Another one I hope I'm wrong on. Always pull for the MVFC team unless they are playing us.
EWU 35 Merry Christmas EWU from the selection committee.
Wagner 10 I'd love to see the upset here but it ain't happening. Still Go Wagner!
With UNH's swiss cheese defense and high caliber offense, there's no way that both teams score less than 21 in the Wofford UNH game

Your Scores And Predictions for Round 2 -
NDSU 24 SDSU 10 - It's gonna take more than the Jacked Rabbits got to knock the defending Champ out, I am not buying this hype about hard to beat a team twice in the same season - nice win last week Rabbits, now you can dwell on it for the long winter down in your hole
N Hampshire 28 Wofford 27 - sure it would be easy to pick Wofford in this game as they should win, but that's the problem, how many games should they have won going back to 2003? Sean MCD ( not the ticker symbol) will have a few surprises up his sleeve and is always good for a first round win
C Arkansas 21 GSU 49 - Da Bears just not ready to upset the TO team on the road, they are getting lots of hugs on this board but those will all be forgotten by half time - GSU in a route
Coastal Car 27 ODU 52 - the QB with the beer name will open the keg and pour free cervezas all over the CC secondary - all day long
Stony Brook 28 Montana St 24 (best game)
Now this will not be an easy task as Montana State, tired of playing little sister to Montana and shes grounded anyway, are licking there chops to win something this year, but Stony is a very solid football team and will force Monty Estado back to fumbling the game away - SB will hit some big pass plays as Monty plays to stop run
Cal Poly 31 Sam Houston 28 - now I believe that Poly Ana has no business winning this game and Sammy will give the surfer boys a nice Texas welcome to the outback, but just to stay with my common theme...... Sammy will come in overconfident and find way to lose this game (fingers crossed)
Illinois St 21 ASU 35 - I am not seeing this one a close as many, Appy despite choking it up in recent post Armanti playoff era, will find a way to beat Illi, Illi State has some head scratchin losses that will just not allow me to predict they win this game.
Wagner 10 E Washington 31 - the only worry here will be if any fans show up to watch the game, Swaggie will have to play a perfect game and hope for some mistakes to stay in it, now having said that, if they find a way to make the over confident fluffy team utter a few WTF's I'll be happy

NDSU- 28 -NDSU overcomes a tough second round draw. The defense of title is on.
SDSU- 17
Wofford- 31 - UNH is unable to contain EB and Wofford's high school offense. Ankle-biters advance.
UNH- 21
GSU- 38 - Eagles have a little too much offense for UCA. Gnats really get to UCA swarming around their heads.
UCA- 28
ODU- 41 - CCU is a mismatch for strong ODU team that gets 400+ yards with air attack. CCU mascot arrested for assalt and battery on ODU mascot.
CC- 14
MSU- 27 - Montana State survives strong ground attack.
Stony Brook- 24
Cal Poly- 30 - Sam overcomes the pony-option with tricky ground game of their own.
SHSU- 31
ASU- 41 - App gets the ball last and lives to fight another day. Redbird mascot shot down by Yosef and long gun. (Best game)
Ill. State- 34
EWU- 28 - EWU sleepwalks thru the 1st half but pulls away late. Red uniforms blend into red turf causing all kinds of problems for Wagner.

Agree. 42 points for the Bison, what are people thinking? The offense is unproductive to say the least. They would need to have 5 defensive touchdowns to reach that point total. This game is has a better chance of being 12-10.

Everyone has doubted Sam Houston since last year. I kind of like it actually. Cal-Poly Head Coach even agreed in his press conference...
"if you take out the Baylor game and A&M game, two teams that beat #1 ranked teams, they (Sam Houston) have averaged 50ppg and only giving up 9 ppg. This is a pretty good team"
