Press Conference at 11:30 CST. Is this just another press-conference or the real deal? We'll find out in 30 minutes.

After further review, it now appears that Brett Favre's Wednesday press conference is simply a standard, weekly media get-together.

The root of the problem was that KSTP-TV in Minneapolis sold the thing as an unusual, out-of-the-norm event with this post from a couple of hours ago:

"Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre will hold a news conference at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Lambeau Field media auditorium.

"There's no indication at this point what the legendary Packer quarterback is going to announce. The Packers lost their first preseason game of the year by two touchdowns to the San Diego Chargers."

Probably just another press conference.

I think Donovan McNabb has one day a week also when he meets with the media.

I am hearing it was a normal press conference.

The press conference had been scheduled since Friday. Some TV station decided to turn it into something that it wasn't.

Why would he retire this far into training camp anyways. Hey, let me go through a ton of 2-a-days and then retire, yeah right

Read Peter King's Monday Morning Quarterback. He's not going anywhere this year.

I'm glad he's staying one more year, gives him time to tarnish his legacy and for me to laugh at.

Why? :bang: :bang: :bang:

Favre has been a great pro and one of the most durable QBs ever. No matter what happens this year, or next (he is expected to play one additional year), Favre has a plaque waiting for him in Canton, Ohio.

He's a great quarterback, but I think he is a little off when he says that this is the most talented Packers team that he has played with.
