It would be a cool idea to get to see other teams in years like this where there are a lot of good teams.

And that's without any of these 7-4 teams that were all pretty dangerous

JMU
McNeese State
The Citadel
Samford
Indiana State
Youngstown State

Would definitely be fun this year. I'd like to see NAU go up vs JMU or TU.

1st round:

Eastern Kentucky at Richmond

Ugh. Why is it always Richmond? At least the Spidahs won't have Timmy Hightower this time.

And what happened that it seems like I can't read a thread without an NDSU fan running down my alma mater? This is an increasingly unpleasant site to visit.

I don't even have 500 posts, so I must still be learning how to work those buttons... sorry! xrolleyesx

I guess you're referencing the attendance at the playoff game last year against JMU? It was certainly a disappointment... but when the dorms are closed and UK is playing Tennessee in a home game up the road, it's hard to get people to notice. Them's the facts. We can't all have the benefit of being the state's "flagship" (that is what you guys are, right? Or... is it UND? Or are you both?).

Attendance for the Colonels this season was actually up over the past several years. I had high hopes for a much better playoff crowd, especially as UK is so terrible.

2,388 in attendance for that playoff game (per ESPN) is "certainly a disappointment"...sorry you can't take a joke.

I can't wait for the banner to go up on the wall and the new flag to fly above Robins Stadium next year. I also can't wait to get my fictional NIT championship gear (sweatshirt, coffee mug) to go along with all of the 2008 real national champion swag we have.

All we needed was the snub from the committee to serve as motivation to carry us across the finish line.

FCS NIT Quarterfinals
(1) Towson 24, (9) Indiana State 24. Not a typo. ISU wins 54 of 100.
(2) Northern Arizona 25, (7) Youngstown State 19. NAU wins 68 of 100.
(3) Eastern Kentucky 19, (6) James Madison 21. JMU wins 60 of 100.
(4) Lehigh 21, (12) Samford 25. Samford wins 64 of 100.

FCS NIT Semifinals
(9) Indiana State 26, (12) Samford 18. ISU wins 85 of 100.
(2) Northern Arizona 20, (6) James Madison 17. NAU wins 67 of 100.

FCS NIT Championship
(2) Northern Arizona 21, (9) INDIANA STATE 25. ISU wins 65 of 100 (58 as a road team, 72 as a home team). xhurrayx

I also ran through ISU-b at NDSU (since Sycamores were only team to win there this year)...Bison win 92 of 100 in the Fargodome. Hard to think of anyone knocking them off there again anytime soon.

I'd say this is accurate. Im not biased(sarcasm font). Prior to the NDSU ISUb game i would have given NDSU the 98 of 100 edge

And that's without any of these 7-4 teams that were all pretty dangerous

JMU
McNeese State
The Citadel
Samford
Indiana State
Youngstown State

JMU was not that dangerous. Past years, definitely. This year, not so much. Not nearly enough offense to be considered "dangerous". Appreciate the comment, though.

I agree. How anyone can beat a decent NDSU team in the Fargodome is beyond me. Huge credit to ISU-b for that accomplishment this year.

What is actually pretty amazing is how awesomer and awesomer this idea sounds the more you think about it.

Yes, our MVFC friends are telling us that Missouri State would have won the PL auto bid this year.
missouri state beats drake 91 out of 100 times w/ msu at home; 82 out of 100 times with MSU as the away team.

Missouri state wins 95 out of 100 against butler with msu as the away team. 100 of 100 as the home team. Hard to argue ;)

Just realized I read your comment as PFL bid lol.
