Stephen F. Austin held onto Chief Caddo for the fourth consecutive year after beating Northwestern State 34-17, while McNeese State closed its season with a 35-0 shutout of Lamar. In non-conference action, No. 10/10 Central Arkansas beat Eastern Illinois while Sam Houston State lost at Texas A&M.
