CCSU never got off the bus - they weren't mentaly prepared for this game and it is showing. This season was a a total DISASTER, and I'm embarssed at how we looked all year long. Coaching was questionable all year, but this beating is ugly. These players need to look in the mirror if we are going to rebound next year. Honestly, I'm glad basketball season is here!

I won't say Lehigh doesn't deserve a bid, it is just there are so many deserving teams that somebody will be left out.

People shouldn't be treating Lehigh like San Diego or Jacksonville, they are much better than that. In an ordinary season they are in and nobody thinks twice about it.

Exacly, but this isn't an ordinary season by any stretch. Last year there was a 6-win Delaware team as one of the last on the board. 7 wins might not be enough this year.

Extraordinary year.

Part of the reason why the hubbub with Lehigh exists is that the Patriot League was down this year. In a normal season for the Patriot League, a 10-1 Lehigh team is a clearly deserving, no-brainer pick.

Curious why you think the Patriot was down this year?

I think the questionability of Lehigh's bid is more due to the strong conferences producing a lot of 8+ win teams. Part of that is due to the round robin schedule in the Big Sky.

Good win for YSU. Indiana State played themselves out of the playoffs.

I think YSU still has a chance. That Pitt win will be huge if they get in.The win over Pitt would've been a lot greater had Pitt made that 33yd fg vs.ND.xdontknowx

I'd have to look at the cumulative win-loss stats, but I don't think the Patriot League did very well in non-conference games relative to past seasons, and the league lost some non-conference games against mediocre competition (like, as one example, Lafayette losing to Robert Morris).

I do agree the parity in some of the stronger leagues (Exhibit A: CAA) has created an unusually large pool of worthy playoff team candidates.

Wow completely forgot about that Lafayette loss....seems like it was a year ago!

The Colgate loss at South Dakota hurts the league too. Albany's convincing win over Colgate can't help either.

Guess I hadn't thought about the whole league.

I wouldn't go that far...well, if the team made it that far. xlolx

UCA is a good team but the slow freakin starts always put us behind. The game tonight wasn't really in doubt. We shot ourselves in the foot over and over but once we learned ball control, it turned out alright. I think time of possession was 40 min UCA to 20 min EIU. Fourth quarter was a horror show with how tired the oline for EIU looked. But I'll tell you what, that EIU defense NEVER, EVER gave up.. talk about good. They just ran into the stripes. xlolx 11-0 on the stripes.

You guys might even get a #4/5 seed. The only thing hurting you is your Div 2 Victory.

Eh..seeding doesn't mean too much to a fan who only started following the FCS just a few short years ago..probably means MUCH more to the coaches and team obviously.

Going 3-0 against ranked FCS teams looks good for the Bears plus playing 2 more FCS schools out of conference and an FBS makes it a tough schedule for a team that lost 4 senior Olinemen and an All American QB.
