NDSU @ Ill. St. - Redbirds have a great shot to pull of the upset, but I think the NDSU defense is too much to overcome. Bison by 3.

Ind. St. @ YSU - YSU has gone through so much this year, I think they end the season on a positive note but still miss out on the playoffs. Penguins by 1.

WIU @ SIU - SIU is the better team, at home, enough said. Salukis by 14.

USD @ SDSU - Rivalry games are usually coin-flips, but theres too much on the line for SDSU to have a let-down here. Jacks by 17.

MSU @ UNI - I know this isn't popular, but I still think UNI is the most underrated team in the nation. Panthers by 10.

Last week for the MFVC regular season pick 'ems, and I've gone 12-1 for the past 3 weeks, and have hit close to 90 % on the season, so here goes for Valley week 12:

Winners:

Birds......Think The Birds remember how last season went down with a double OT loss to #5 UNI and then amazingly no playoffs. ISU will come into this focused and with their eyes on the prize....taking down the #1 team in the country NDSU and thereby earning the MVFC co-championship.....ooo yeah! An ISU win may just spring The Birds into a seed. Saturday at Hancock Stadium should be one thriller of a MVFC tilt....LOVE IT!

Guins.....Just see YSU redeeming their season and going 7-4 which would all but take The Trees out of the playoff picture. It's a shame that probably neither one of these teams will be playoff bound because given the chance, IMHO BOTH of them could take down any number of non-MVFC teams that will be playoff participants.

Salukis...Might end up as a good old fashioned stomp over The Necks. SIU has had a nice season, and The Salukis were flirting with some playoff talk. It's really crazy the absolute depth that the MVFC has now and will have in the near future. WIU football is seriously down for now, but The Necks should be back.

Jacks.....Know this is a rivalry game, but just believe that SDSU has way too much riding on the line to let this game slip. It's good to see The Yotes have shown some life in the last half of the season. Been a bit of an adjustment for USD, but they an MVFC up-and-comer.

Cats.....UNI has gotten it together the last half of the season. Man, the opening of The Panthers schedule was just brutal, but it looks like they've righted the ship.
MSU and Terry Allen might finally be turning The Valley corner as they were markedly better this year.

The MVFC is the #1 ranked conference for good reason, and The Valley teams that will be going into the playoffs will be loaded and ready to do some serious damage. Can't hardly wait for the playoffs to start, so The MVFC teams can show just how tough it has been to navigate through the Valley this season. xstretchx

North Dakota St @ Illinois St - NDSU has a 10 game winning streak away from Fargo and the Redbirds haven't played their best at home this year. I expect both trends to continue.
Indiana St @ Youngstown St - The Sycs are still playing for something and play like they have something to prove.
Western Illinois @ Southern Illinois - The Necks finally showed some life last week but I think the Salukis win it with an opportunistic defense and special teams.
South Dakota @ South Dakota St - This is the big game of the year for the Coyotes but too much is on the line for the Jackrabbits to overlook their in-state rival.
Missouri St @ Northern Iowa - Both teams are just playing for pride and I think UNI goes out with a bang.

Oh no, now I know UNI is going to loose. They have shot themselves in the foot so many times (turnovers and penalties at the wrong time) we are starting to call them stumpy, but that is even optomistic. They only have a little bit left below the hip socket...

1 NDSU (6-1 9-1) @ 2 ISU-R (5-2 8-3) - NDSU wins this one because they know how important home field advantage is to them in the Playoffs.

4 ISU-B (5-2 6-3) @ 6 YSU (3-4 6-4) - YSU wins. Crushing ISUb's chances at a playoff spot. 'Guins play spoiler here.

9 WIU (1-6 2-7) @ 5 SIU (4-3 5-5) - SIU wins cause they are just a better football team than the Leathernecks

10 USD (0-7 1-9) @ 2 SDSU (5-2 7-3) - SDSU wins a tougher than expected & important rivalry game to the state of SD. I would love to attend this one.

6 MSU (3-4 3-7) @ 6 UNI (3-4 3-6) - UNI ends a tough year on a high note, finishing with a win at home.
