1. Does an 8-3 South Dakota State team get in?
2. Does a 7-4 Youngstown State team get in?
3. Does a 7-3 Indiana State team get in?
4. IF Illinois State beats North Dakota State, do both those teams get seeds at 9-2?
5. Zenner had a third straight week of less than 100 yards, is he still frontrunner for MVP?

Didn't ISUB beat SIU? That said I do think SIU should be ahead of YSU.

Can someone with knowledge of the MVFC tie-breaker rules please clarify the AQ scenarios?

For example, which team gets the MVFC AQ in the following situations:

1. Illinois St. beats NDSU, SDSU beats USD, Indiana St. beats YSU - 4 way tie between NDSU, Illinois St., SDSU & Indiana State at 6-2 Who gets the AQ?
2. Illinois St. beats NDSU, USD beats SDSU, Indiana St. beats YSU - 3 way tie between NDSU, Illinois St. & Indiana State at 6-2 Who gets the AQ?
3. Illinois St. beats NDSU, SDSU beats USD, YSU beats Indiana St. - 3 way tie between NDSU, Illinois St. & SDSU at 6-2 Who gets the AQ?

What I think I know:

1. NDSU beats Illinois St., and nothing else matters. NDSU gets the AQ.
2. Illinois St. beats NDSU, and SDSU & Indiana State both lose. Illinois St. gets the AQ.

Long story short, NDSU is going to get the AQ unless Illinois State beats them and gets a TON of help from USD & YSU. The odds of that happening are slim to none, so I'd like to be the first to say congrats to NDSU on the AQ.

Shakir is better at what exactly? Zenner has more rushing yards on 30 fewer carries against MVFC opponents. He hasn't had 20 carries in a game since UNI when he went for... 112.

Bell might be more valuable to Indiana State than Zenner is to SDSU, but it is a leap to say he is the better running back.

I have seen both of them play just once this year against the Bison so I may be influenced by Zenner's lack of production on Sat. against NDSU. SDSU does have a better balanced run/passing attack and is a better over-all team than Indiana State. Indiana State offense does seem like its all about Bell with just a little passing to keep the defense honest.

I think Bell has a special ability to make defenders miss and he can make something out of nothing. I just didn't see that from Zenner on Sat. I know, I am judging this on a small amount of games to make this comparison.

This is a reasonable explaination.

As an SDSU fan, I would say vs. NDSU isn't the best gauge since Zenner only carried the ball 14 times (3 in the 2nd half, wtf) compared to Bell's 23 against the Bison.

Similar to your experience, I watched the SDSU defense hold Bell to 54 yards on 18 carries in Terre Haute. This probably skews my perspective as well.

I believe since they haven't all played eachother, the tie breaker is record vs common opponents.
