Wofford has a chance to win the Southern Conference title by beating Chattanooga in a matchup set for 1:30 p.m. at Gibbs Stadium.
But the Terriers (7-2, 5-2 SoCon) had a chance to do that last week and lost to Samford in double overtime. A playoff bid may also be on the line Saturday. Only six of Wofford’s wins are over Division I teams.
The FCS playoff committee has never picked a team without at least seven wins over Division I competition. Lose to the Mocs, and the Terriers would have to beat Football Bowl Subdivision South Carolina to reach that milestone.
