(San Diego, CA) - The USD football program received some good news today when it was announced that four of their student-athletes were named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-America District 8 Division I football team. All four Toreros will now be eligible for the national team. The four Toreros senior offensive lineman Matt Peleti (Laguna Niguel, CA; 3.61 GPA, Finance), junior defensive back Robbie Beathard (San Diego, CA; 3.79 GPA, Accountancy), junior defensive end Blake Oliaro (Folsom, CA; 3.56 GPA, Mechanical Engineering), and sophomore defensive back Troy McClelland (San Diego, CA; 3.84 GPA, Accountancy). The trio of Peleti, Beathard andOliaro were selected for the second straight year.
