Just looking at teams with D2 losses that made the playoffs. So was Montana State an at-large 2002 & 2006?

From the intrawebs: 2002 - (5-2) - Montana, Montana State, and Idaho State - (UM, MSU to I-AA playoffs, ISU excluded)

So I would say so.

I thought you played Furman then ASU in 2006? With a FBS win & D2 loss...

Correct. Beat Colorado then lost to Chadron.

Wow i could not have been more wrong. I thought Furman year was 07, wrong it was 2006. And Yes since we beat UM to end the streak, we got the Autobid and went on to lose to McNeese
