Retired to John Settle, the former ASU All-American tailback. Settle gained over 1,000 yards in his rookie year as a free agent running back for the Atlanta Falcons to earn a spot in the Pro Bowl. His career was cut short by a knee injury. Settle, one of the all-time great I-AA runners, is now the running backs coach at Wisconsin after a number of years at Fresno State. he also served as a grad assistant at App State (1994) and was briefly in the NFL. He is one of a handful of front-runners expected to compete for the head coaching job at ASU when Jerry Moore retires.
