The Valparaiso football team earned its first win of the 2012 season Saturday, erasing a 14-point deficit en route to a 41-21 win against Campbell University at Barker-Lane Stadium in Buies Creek, N.C. Redshirt freshman running back Jake Hutson (Blanchard, Mich./Montabella) scored three touchdowns and rushed for a career-high 248 yards, the second highest single-game rushing total in program history.
