Very, very nice facilities jstate83! As a football fan not so knowledgeable on JSU, do you pack Memorial Stadium for most games? (I'm guessing the big rivalries do!) Nice pressbox too... Should send this to JMU ;)

For most games, we can count on anywhere from a minimum in the 30,000 range.
For Valley, SU, Alcorn and Gram it can be anywhere from 30 to 50 thousand.................With the top end being SU and Alcorn for the largest crowds.
The game for SU this year will bring in at least 50,000 with the game being in Jackson........(The picture in the sig is JSU/SU 2003......S.R.O.).
Alcorn being our rivals, the Capitol City Classic has the potential of being our biggest game again at the end of the year................Again.........Bell killed it.
The CCC averaged about mid 30's during Bell's tenure.
Homecomming usually brings in from 35 to 45 thousand or more, no matter who we play if times are decent...............SEE James Bell..........Only 25,000 last homecomming.
The first game will tell against Paul Quinn.
If we get 30,000 for a d2 school, it's going to be a monster season fan wise.

Hey jstate83, tell the powers that be to use that bad-ass tiger head logo on the helmets. That would look sharp!

The first thing President Mason did during the introduction of Coach Comegy was to hand him a brand new helment with the old JSU BLOCK LOGO on it like the one in my posts.

Jackson, Mississippi
Jackson State University turned to Moody•Nolan, Inc. when initiating planning for a new student center in completing their Campus redevelopment and master plan. The new structure creates the east portal anchoring the pedestrian mall at the heart of campus. The union will house student organization and activities offices as well as replace the food facilities outlet on campus with a state of art Marché concept for meal ticket holders. The 130,900 sq. ft. facility will also contain recreational and meeting facilities. Included will be a bowling alley and game room, TV room, social and study lounges and computer center. Meeting spaces will accommodate student judicial government council and judicial center as well as a small lecture/movie room, meeting rooms and a 11,000 sq. ft. ballroom. A structured parking garage for 400 spaces is attached to the union. The student center’s projected cost is $21.5 million and is anticipated to open in February of 2008.
