USD junior quarterback Mason Mills (Coronado, CA) was named this week's Pioneer Football League offensive player of the week for his performance in the team's 41-9 home win over Dayton. Mills broke a 12-year old PFL record with 511 passing yards to lead the Toreros past the Flyers. It was the first 500-yard passing performance in league history and broke the record previously held by Butler's DeWayne Ewing (497 yards vs. San Diego on Oct. 21, 2000).
