Man those Lions were tough! What fight! I can see why Lions fans were enthused.

Looking at the replay of it the announcer were right about one thing and possibly wrong about another.

That first down catch by UCA WAS out of bounds.

That first TD by SELA appeared to be no good because even though he caught the ball in the endzone his momentum of running across the endzone and jumping to catch the ball took him out of bounds and his first foot touched down out of bounds when you look at it frame by frame. But the DB appeared to push him out so I think thats why they called it a TD. No biggie..heck of a catch though!

The lions played tough and are gonna be in the picture next year. Hate to tell you though Sam is leagues above even UCA the way they are playing right now. Good luck though.

I agree it wouldn't have been complete in the NFL, but in college football, only one foot down in bounds is needed ... McCrea got his left foot down in bounds before the right foot came down out of bounds ... good call.

As for the game itself, you guys had a good game plan and executed well ... we made way too many mistakes with drive killing drops in the first half, not to mention we dropped three potential INTs which were thrown right to us ... and of course the questionable chop block call in the 4th quarter when we had momentum, and would have had a first and 10 inside your 40, was the big killer ... instead, we're 3rd and 25 from our own 15 and couldn't recover ... bottom line, when margin for error is thin, the team that executes the best just about always wins ... hat's off to the Bears.

As for Grandy, I think everybody in the SLC will be glad to see him gone ... IMO, he's the Player of the Year in the SLC this year ... he's a real difference maker.

We know all about Sam Houston and how good they are. Thanks for reminding us though.
