2 NDSU (4-1 7-1) @ 6 MSU (3-3 3-6) Missouri state is really surpising me this year, not enough to beat the bison, however.

8 UNI (1-4 1-6) @ 8 WIU (1-4 2-5) I can't decide exactly how bad UNI is this year. However bad they are, WIU is worse.

10 USD (0-5 1-7) @ 7 YSU (1-4 4-4) Penguins get their groove back.

4 ISU-r (4-2 7-2) @ 1 ISU-b (5-1 6-2) Wow this is a tough one. Sycamores defense gutts out another win.

2 SDSU (4-1 6-2) @ 4 SIU (4-2 5-4) Another really tough one. Zenner runs, Sumner(sp?) passes, Jacks win.

2 NDSU (4-1 7-1) @ 6 MSU (3-3 3-6) This is going to be a better game than people expect. I will go with NDSU, but it wouldn't surprise me to see MSU within a touchdown at the end.

8 UNI (1-4 1-6) @ 8 WIU (1-4 2-5) UNI runs away with it.

10 USD (0-5 1-7) @ 7 YSU (1-4 4-4) YSU will finally get off their losing streak. But to little to late for playoffs after a great start.

4 ISU-r (4-2 7-2) @ 1 ISU-b (5-1 6-2) This one I Have NO idea. Picking Blue because I would like to see ISU-r have another 'cushion' loss for the Jacks.

2 SDSU (4-1 6-2) @ 4 SIU (4-2 5-4) If what we saw the first half yesterday was Sumner finding his grove, watch out. SDSU NEEDS this game to secure playoffs. Will be a good game.

NDSU @ MSU NDSU is getting some talent back on offense and the D is stellar. Might still be closer then some would like.

UNI @ WIU UNI only has pride left to play for as does WIU but UNI just has the edge in this one.

USD @ YSU Rough year for the yotes won't get any better with this game.

ISU-r @ ISU-b close game had to go with the home team.

SDSU @ SIU the dogs take out their frustration of losing to NDSU on SDSU.

What's the tiebreaker if 6 teams finished 5-3 in the league?

I don't know for sure but I'm guessing it would be cumulative record against the other they're tied with and whatever ties there are after that are broken by a 3rd party ranking system like the GPI or coach's poll (which is a scary thought).

2 NDSU (4-1 7-1) @ 6 MSU (3-3 3-6)This is going to be a tougher game than some Bison fans think but NDSU is to much for an improved MSU team.

8 UNI (1-4 1-6) @ 8 WIU (1-4 2-5)A frustrated UNI team is to proud to lose this one. UNI opens a can on WIU.

10 USD (0-5 1-7) @ 7 YSU (1-4 4-4)USD is just what the doctor ordered for a sick YSU team that hasn't been feeling well since they visited NDSU.

5 ISU-r (4-2 7-2) @ 1 ISU-b (5-1 6-2)Defense takes this one in a close game.

2 SDSU (4-1 6-2) @ 4 SIU (4-2 5-4)SDSU should win this one but I think the bunny's trip up in this one.

Some huge matchups in the valley this weekend in Carbondale and Terra Haute. I'll be watching those scores with very close interest.

North Dakota St @ Missouri St - I think the momentum the Bears have built over their 3 game win streak comes to a screeching halt in this matchup. The Bison do not repeat the 2010 disaster in Springfield.
Northern Iowa @ Western Illinois - Even though the conference record is the same, UNI has a much better team.
South Dakota @ Youngstown St - The Coyotes are just what the doctor ordered for a struggling Penguin team. YSU gets back on the winning track.
Illinois St @ Indiana St - Calling the upset here. The Redbirds haven't lost on the road yet this year and I think Matt Brown is due for a game where he puts the team on his back.
South Dakota St @ Southern Illinois - I think last week's loss really deflated the Salukis and the Jacks take advantage of that to get a huge road win.

That scenario seems highly unlikely.
A crop of 6-2 teams could happen a lot more easily. I'm sure someone is digging up all the tiebreaker rules.

NDSU @ MSU, NDSU hasn't lost on the road since 2010.

UNI @ WIU, UNI still has pride.

USD @ YSU , YSU coach can't lose this one.

ISU-r @ ISU-b , ISU-r defense not good enough to beat Ind. St.

SDSU @ SIU , SIU will find a way at home.

Coming off a 5-0 MVFC pick week, it's onto Valley showdown week #10:

Winners:

Bison....Think MSU has picked it up this year, but just see NDSU edging The Bears out.
Cats.....UNI could close the year winning out, and The Leathernecks have really taken a downturn.
Guins...See above as YSU (like UNI) could win out the rest of the way.
Birds....ILLINOIS STATE does NOT want a repeat of last season, and The Birds have been absolute road warriors this season.
Dogs....Should be a whale of a game, and it might put a huge dent in the Jacks path to the playoffs.

Lots of talk about The MVFC only getting 3 teams into the playoffs. IMHO that would be a real travesty. If The Valley has a 7-4 sitting there at season's end, and the playofff selection has to decide between that 7-4 Valley team and an 8-3 team that's has a lower power rating, then Patty V. better be lobbying this season.

The MVFC is insanely stacked with a TON of very good teams. Looking forward to Saturday and another round of top-notch football from the top ranked FCS conference....THE MVFC.....ooooo yeah! xhurrayx

What's the tiebreaker if 6 teams finished 5-3 in the league?

THREE TEAMS ARE TIED
1. If at any point, a tie is broken using the multiple-tie tiebreaker procedures and only two teams remain, the remaining teams will revert to the two-way tiebreaker (head-to-head).

2. If the tied teams all played one another, the team with the best cumulative record involving games with the tied teams shall be declared champion. For example, if a team is 2-0 against two other tied teams, that team will be declared champion.

3. If the tied teams all played one another and have identical records against the other tied teams, then each team’s record against all common opponent s in the league will be used to determine the automatic bid. If teams are still tied, then each team’s record against the next highest common opponent in the league standings will be used to determine the automatic bid.

4. If the tied teams did not play each other, then each team’s record against all common opponent s in the league will be used to determine the automatic bid. If the teams are still tied, and they did not play each other, then each team’s record against the next highest common opponent in the league standings will be used to determine the automatic bid.

5.If the teams are still tied, the latest available GPI ranking prior to NCAA selection shall be used as the final tiebreaker.

2 NDSU (4-1 7-1) @ 6 MSU (3-3 3-6)--I agree with everyone else on this, it is a win but a lot closer than we would want it to be.

8 UNI (1-4 1-6) @ 8 WIU (1-4 2-5)--Close game until UNI pulls ahead by 10.

10 USD (0-5 1-7) @ 7 YSU (1-4 4-4)--Youngstown snaps their losing streak

5 ISU-r (4-2 7-2) @ 1 ISU-b (5-1 6-2)--Close game but the Trees defense wins it.

2 SDSU (4-1 6-2) @ 4 SIU (4-2 5-4)--Another close game but Zenner will be the defining factor.

Not sure if a wealthy AGS poster just dropped hundreds of thousands of dollars on YSU -14 vs. USD, but the line has skyrocketed (as I anticipated, but maybe not this drastically) to YSU -19! Not often you see a 5 point line movement at once... Somebody likes the 'Guins, a lot!
