Savannah State punter Jacob Thomas would be happy to stay out of the Football Championship Subdivision record books.
Just a week ago, the freshman was on pace to challenge for the most punts ever in a season. Louisiana Tech’s Barry Hickingbotham holds the mark with 98 punts in 11 games (8.9 a game) in 1987.
