Now, after two amazing LCS... one who proved that the Yankees need some new blood, and the other one going the distance in an epic pitching battle towards the end of the series...
Who's your team now?
Detroit with their Triple Crown winner in Cabrera and their consistent ace in Verlander?
or San Francisco with their better hitting team and better pitchers?
This Series will be a pitcher's duel I believe, but Detroit can wear the Giants pitchers out. Tigers in 5 or 6.

I don't care who wins, but I'll be backing the Giants in this one. Hope it goes the max number of games, and that it ends in dramatic fashion. That is all I really care about.

The Tigers have a huge advantage at this point since they have had time to set their rotation to where Verlander can go three times if necessary.

I'll pull for Detroit for two reasons. First, they are American League. Second, it has been longer since they have won a Series than the Giants. But I'm not super interested- heck, the high school teams are in their playoffs already- the post season for baseball seems to go on forever.

As an Indians fan I am going for the Tigers. I predict Tigers in 6.

I gave my wife a suggestion to look for a world series shirt while in SF this week. Hopefully she finds one.

Intriguing series matchup here. Detroit has the better rotation, and was able to set it up for the WS after quickly winning the ALCS. On the other hand, SF has a better bullpen, which they will almost certainly need going forward. Both teams can hit, though Detroit is far more dangerous offensively, while the Giants have the defensive edge. Does homefield for Game 7 make a difference?
Going to go with....the Tigers in 7. Too much power in the middle of the lineup, too much Verlander, I think the Tigers pull it out in the end
If nothing else, I hope it goes the distance

Giants brought their hitting shoes so far tonight.

I'm reminded of the All-Star game. Verlander has one bounce off of third base with two outs, the Giants get three runs to go up 4-0 after three. Who'd have thunk it?

I didn't watch even one pitch last night. Even during timeouts and commercials I didn't even switch to baseball- I went to other football games. I saw on the crawl line that it was 2-0- I would have turned if something had changed but it never did.
I thought that they would go into November but it looks like they might be done by Halloween. Baseball should be done before Columbus Day.
