San Diego: Ernie Collins tabbed PFL Special Teams Player of the Week

University of San Diego senior kicker-punter Ernie Collins (San Ramon, CA) was selected the Pioneer Football League Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the team's 24-7 road PFL win over Jacksonville this past Saturday.Collins chipped in with six points, including a 43-yard fourth-quarter field goal that put the Toreros ahead by three scores, along with three PATs. Additionally, he averaged 39.1 yards on seven punts, including three that were downed inside the 20; two that went 50 yards; and two fair catches (all on different punts). He also handled kickoff duties, averaging 64 yards on his four kickoffs.
