I thought this was "The Big Game" and the final regular season game for these teams. Why are they playing in OCT.

Pac-12 scheduling. The B1G does care for their schools' rivalries by deliberately placing these games at the end of the regular season, but the conference as a whole is down.

FYI (also gives reason why Pac-12 does weird scheduling):
USC-UCLA is November 17. (also not the two schools' last game)

However, some other Pac-12 schools have their rivalries as their last games of the regular season:
Arizona-Arizona State and Washington-Wazzu on November 23.
Oregon-Oregon State is November 24.

Yah, Minnesota used to play Wisconsin in the last game of the season. They played yesterday. And they played Iowa a couple of weeks ago and that had been at the end of the season other years. I'd rather end the season with one of those two. I like the biggest rivalry game last.

UCLA was only the last regular season game for USC every other year. When Notre Dame plays USC in California, that is the last regular season game for USC those years. On the other hand, USC was always UCLA's last game every year.

USC has ND as their last game this year. But UCLA has Stanford for their last game this year... xchinscratchx
