Dan Carpenter
Born: 11/25/1985
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 190.0 lbs
Year: Junior
Major: Chemistry

Dan is in his third season as the Griz place-kicker and is also the back-up punter. He is already ranked sixth in career scoring at Montana with 199 points.
2005: He was a second team All-Big Sky Conference selection for the second year in a row. He made 14-of-21 field goal attempts and 34-of-36 PATs. He was ranked 19th in the nation with 1.17 field goals a game. He had converted 67 straight PAT's dating back to the 2004 season but missed his fifth attempt against Fort Lewis in the season opener last year.
He was forced into punting duties when Tyson Johnson was injured late in the season and had nine punts for a 41.4-yard average against Cal Poly in UM's Division I-AA playoff game last season.
He was a perfect three-of-three in field goal attempts in Griz wins at Idaho State, against Portland State and at Northern Arizona. He booted a career-long 50-yard field goal at Northern Arizona on Nov. 5, which ties him for the seventh longest in Griz history.
2004: As a true freshman, he connected on 18-of-29 of his field goal attempts, was a perfect 63-of-63 in PATs, and scored 123 points. His 123 points were the second most in school history (the 11th most in league history), trailing only Chris Snyder, who scored 124 points at UM in 2003.
He was a second team All-Big Sky pick and was tabbed the Big Sky's Special Teams Player of the Week three times. He was ranked 16th in the nation in I-AA field goals (1.20 a game).
