View Full Version : Earnhardt Jr. drives carelessly, wrecks teammate Waltrip

Michael Waltrip gave the #8 car the whole bottom end of the track to make that pass. Earnhardt Jr. is a poor, poor excuse for a teammate. Junior has been using Mikey as a drafting partner all year long, only to leave him behind once he makes the pass (Talladega was blatantly obvious). This time Jr. made himself look like a total idiot. I give him credit for admitting that it was his fault, but Waltrip commented on TV last night that Junior still hasn't called him. Grow some balls, Junior, and give Mikey a call. It is hard enough for the #15 to win without someone wrecking him. Mikey had the better car and could have finished in the top five this past Sunday. Junior is going to run DEI into the ground. That racing company might not even be around five years from now.

You would have to be pretty stupid to take out you own teammate desertgriz, and the thing is Jr. could have gone around him, or checked up when he came up on Waltrip, but no, he drilled him right in the rear bumper. What an a$$.

Jr. is starting to rank up there with Robby Gordon. He just does it with actions in place of words.

Michael Waltrip said yesterday on SportsCenter that Dale Jr. was going to have both the #8 and #15 crews over to his house to do some go-cart racing on his dirt track. I guess this is how NASCAR guys try to apologize and move forward. Let the LoveFest begin.

XM 144 just replayed Claire B Lang's interview with Slugger Labbe, probably one of the most honest interviews I have ever heard. Slugger claims he was offered the CC job for the 8 but turned it down because he could tell it was going to be a train wreck. Slugger doesn't' think anyone involved with the Cup series will be successful with the 8 because of the crap Junior puts them through and the pressure from the fans (death threats, etc.)
Slugger also said Steve Hmeil is hard headed enough to handle JR until the end of the year, but Claire just reported that Shane Hmeil has been escorted off the track at Dover for violating the substance abuse policy, which is the 2nd time Shane has had a problem with this so I suspect Steve might have too many issues to deal with Jr. as well.
