Yes, it is a bit of a suprise so far, however CCSU is in New Britain on homecoming after a much-needed bye week. Central's playcalling is much better. We are still not a great team, but that brutally tough schedule to start the year (@SBU, vs. Lehigh, @ UNH) had a very negative effect. We certainly lost "winnable" NEC games vs. Wagner and at SHU, so we are definetly a 'rebuilding' team, but I contend we aren't nearly as bad as our record shows.

Good game by the Dukes as well. Tough game to play on the road vs. a team coming off a bye week. You guys also missed McCoy, although Ho played well.
CCSU is a flawed team, but we are not as bad as our record would indicate. We are young at many positions, but IMO we still have serious questions at QB.
Central heads out to Moon Townships next week to face RMU.

Danes have to expect every opponent is going to come out strong. Their last tour through the NEC is going to be tough.
Give credit to the Red Flash, but Albany seems to stay calm and execute. They could be the best team the NEC has ever seen.

Yah...Ace...that's exactly what it was, and poor defensive play calling. However, after the mid-2nd qtr. D-Coach Simpson made serious adjustments and have limited the Red Flash to about 60 total yards and 3 pts.
The Red Flash really can't stop UA's offense right now.
But...I will say this. The Red Flash looked like the UA and CCSU teams of old; taking on a better paper opponent and using tough running, aggressive play calling, and trick plays to get things moving.
This is definitely NOT the St. Francis team of old. That said, they still need a QB that can toss the ball a bit better as they are one-dimensional for the most part.
Villerial has done an UNREAL job down in Loretto.

Albany's backup QB fumbles the ball on the one in what have been the close the door score. St. Francis recovers. Albany stops them cold....St. Francis with 29 total yards in the second half and 102 TOTAL YARDS since the early 10-0 St. Francis lead to end the 1st Qtr.
Total domination since the 2nd.

That's my take so far. SFPA is still behind most of the league and has to do more, but if you put the 2012 Red Flash team vs. 2005-06 Albany or CCSU team, then St. Francis is the better team.

Coach Ford giving polite deference to St. Francis. Two straight series...6 conservative runs up the middle. The Danes out gained St. Francis 400 yards to 109 since the end of the 1st qtr. I think Coach is now just telling the team to ease off the throttle.

Albany continues the winning ways. 14th win in the last 16 games. The two losses: by a FG in the FCS Playoffs to Stony Brook; and this years 7 point loss at Youngstown.
All of the Danes 6 wins this year have been by double digits.

Albany outscored St. Francis 36-3 after a 1st Qtr. adjustment (and should have had 9 more points on the board w/ a goal line fumble and two missed XP!)

A great win that firms up our playoff chances (i.e. if we can sweep Furman and WCU and at least split with Wofford and GSU we should get in no problem).
Now, there was no video feed so anyone who actually saw the TD feel free to weigh in on whether or not it was a catch. Both ASU announcers said no, but the sideline reporter said yes. FWIW, I think we probably still win since it was only 1st down and we have 20 some seconds left to try to score and momentum had clearly shifted in our favor.

Alright...when your team has ZERO run game..and your coach continues to WASTE freakin downs...I'm just sick of it.....If McNeese wins this game it won't be because they are the better team..it'll be because of our stupid coaching decisions. If our Oline is hurt to the point they can't open holes then go to the freakin air...all that talent at WR and they are running for NOTHING. Dam* I'm sick of this....IF we lose I'm tailgating next weekend and that's it. Frustrating...just plain frustrating. If we lose, we don't deserve a top 25 OR the playoffs...
