I liked the part where he retired from the NFL when the Colts didn't increase his salary by $25,000. Peanuts by today's standards.

check again where the decimal point is located. He was asking for a $250.00 raise . In 1962 Fran Tarkenton made $10k and sold insurance in the off season like many did in those days.

Woah! I did read that wrong. That makes it much worse!
