Obviously they didn't see the UND-Cal Poly game.

Big difference. UND was at mid field and behind in the game in the 4th quarter. On top of that Cal Poly gave the ball back to UND the next play when they fumbled. Webber State did it from their own 29 yard line with a six point lead in the first half. Cal Poly scored two plays later. One had a big impact on the game, the other not so much.

I think they are improving each week. Right now it is 14-10 Yale after scoring a TD on a fake FG. We can fake FG's successfully, just not punts.

Both Yale and Dartmouth are pounding the ball pretty effectively today. We'll see if Yale's defense can hold up. At least they won't give up 35 in the first half like they did the last two weeks.

Drew Smith woke up too. Wore them down up front and had a nice pick 6.

Still ugly

True...ugly...then I looked at the box:

Wow...you know what...we didn't play our best but...if you look at the box the story says differently. TOTAL DOMINATION.

Total yds- 428 to 202
First downs- 25 to 11
Third downs 11-18 to 4-15
Fourth downs 2-2 to 0-2

All in Albany's favor. The only area things changed the game were TO's...but that was a wash in the end as UA had 3 to Bryant's 1...but each had a TO leading to a score.

Reflecting...I think Dane fans were too hard on ourselves...and Bryant punched a bit higher than their weight. Taking away the TO's for scores...it's a 24-7 win at a stadium that had probably 500 people there (WHICH IS NO EXCUSE).

To me the most important stat- we shut down the NEC's top rusher and held him to 14 carries for 33 yards, and we shut down one of the best receivers who had 5 catches for 55 yards.

Good teams find ways to grind things out when they are not at their best. If they play like this next week...then I would start to question them. For me...they are the same team as I ranked last week.

Offense is brutally struggling. Maybe UNC used their bye week wisely? haha Griz D has 4 interceptions. One was returned for a touchdown. Another was directly followed by a field goal. The Griz offense has done nothing. Luckily the defense has made two goal line picks. 133 total yards of offense in the first half. 10-0 at halftime.

Delaware's offensive line is absolutely terrible. Lots of credit to Maine D-Line, but the poor Delaware QB has no time.

Since no-one else seems to want to post it. Southern Illinois Salukis 17, number 9 rated Illinois State Redbirds 0 at their homecoming. WE have a great defense but below average Offense but still are 2-1 in the MVFC.

Montana State up early 7-0 against UC Davis, thanks to a long 3rd down conversion pass by DeNarius McGhee, followed by a long TD run by Orenzo Davis. Prior to that, UC Davis missed a 40-yd FG that would have put them up 3-0.

UC Davis strikes right back against Montana State, mixing it up well on the ground and in the air, to tie it up at 7-7, still in the first quarter...

DeNarius McGhee fumbles on the first play after the kickoff, and UC Davis recovers it at the MSU 13. On the ensuing play, UC Davis runs an end around and scores. Bang, bang, MSU goes from being up 7-0, to being down 7-14 in less than 30 seconds.

MSU not totally giving up -- after the touchback, a 26 yard screen, a 20 yard pass, a 16 yard pass on consecutive plays. A hiccup in the red zone, but they come away with 3 points. UC Davis is up 14-10, just a few seconds into the 2nd quarter. Has the beginnings of a shootout.
