I'm not saying Bruce Sutter was a *****ty pitcher. Rather, when compared to contemporary players, Sutter is not deserving of the Hall of Fame.
If you're going to elect a reliever from the late 70's/early 80's, how the bloody hell can you pick Bruce Sutter over Goose Gossage?
Hell, if you want to expand the selection to all positions, I'd never trade Sutter (in his prime) for Jim Rice.
At this rate, the Baseball Hall of Fame will have as much signifcance as the f'ing Grammy's.

There are 3 names not in the Hall of Fame that should be and all for different reasons.
Jim Rice is the best eligible player not in the HOF simply because of voter ignorance.
Pete Rose is the greatest modern day player not in the HOF simply because of his unwillingness to admit what he did.
Joe Jackson is the greatest player of all time not in the HOF because it was decided by Comminsioner Landis that he cheated in the World Series along with 7 other White Sox players, yet was never convicted of any wrong doing and infact in said World Series hit the only homerun, made ZERO errors and batted .375 higher then any other player.

Blyleven was a much better pitcher than Sutter no matter what standard you use. He was a truly dominant pitcher during the years he was active and the ace of a very good Minnesota franchise.
242 complete games!!!!

All i know is next year i'll be making my first trip to Cooperstown to watch Cal Ripken get enshrined. Tony Gwyn will also be a first ballot HOF'er next year as well.
