Robert Morris broke into the win column and beat previously-undefeated Lafayette thanks to a number of key plays from NEC Defensive Player of the Week Marcelis Branch. The freshman cornerback, who also nabbed the league's weekly rookie honor, forced a fumble, made an interception, and added a huge third-down tackle late in the game. Albany watched receiver Kevin Chillis earn the NEC Special Teams Player of the Week award after rolling past NEC rival Monmouth in what began as a battle of two 3-1 teams. Wagner won its second straight legaue game thanks to help from NEC Offensive Player of the Week Nick Doscher, who totaled 314 yards of offense.
