Stephen F. Austin: Harper, Hill to Speak at Battle of the Piney Woods Luncheon

Stephen F. Austin head football coach J.C. Harper and Sam Houston State head football coach Willie Fritz will be the featured speakers at the inaugural SFA-SHSU Luncheon to promote the teams' 2012 football game in Reliant Stadium. Called the Battle of the Piney Woods Luncheon, the gala is presented by Texas Barge and Boat Inc., Midway Energy Services and CenterPoint Energy and will be at noon, Wed., Oct. 3, at the JW Marriott, 5150 Westheimer in the Galleria. The event is one in a series by the Touchdown Club of Houston to promote Greater Houston football. In addition to Harper, SFA Director of Athletics Robert Hill will also be speaking. Emcees will be Ch. 13 sports director Bob Allen, an SFA grad, and Ch. 2 sports director Randy McIlvoy, a SHSU graduate.
