CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference today unveiled an enhanced Conference logo as part of its annual Football Media Day Kickoff Luncheon, which was held at The Westin Hotel in Charlotte, N.C. The new trademark is an enhanced version of the previous mark that was adopted in 1998. The enhanced logo features a bolder, sleeker and forward-motion look, and will be put into circulation immediately.
“The Big South Conference has undergone dramatic changes since its last re-branding eight years ago,” said Big South Commissioner Kyle B. Kallander. “Football is now our 18th sport. Four new members have joined the League. We have launched academic and leadership programs for our institutions and student-athletes. And our success on the field and court is unsurpassed. While our membership wasn’t ready to completely abandon our previous brand, we felt that an updated, fresher, and bolder look would better symbolize the Big South in 2006.”
