The Southland Conference has imposed a half game suspension for Central Arkansas football student-athlete Jestin Love for targeting and initiating contact to the head or neck area of an opposing player during the team’s game against Sam Houston State last Saturday in Conway, Ark. |

Oh no...what will we ever do for a half without him???? Dread. Fear. Shaking. Good grief SLC...whatever. Did you even see half the hits in that game. Both teams brought the wood...just like they should. I bet if that game wasn't on TV, nothing would have happened. See you in the second half J. xlolx

Stop motion shot of the "hit". Love was going for the tackle and his motion went through to the QBs helmet as the QB was falling backwards. sorry the pic isn't any bigger. I've watched the video of the hit several times and it clearly wasn't intentional...fast at the point of attack of the fumble..but no way was Jestin intentionally trying to hurt the QB. You can even kinda see in the picture that the QB didn't have complete possesion of the ball. I'll try to resize it and it will be more clear. It was more like he was pushing his shoulder to stop him and his forearm hit his facemask. Click the attachment to see neither hand is on his helmet and the QB isn't even down yet.
