Albany scored a victory over No. 23 Maine and captured two of the NEC's four weekly football awards as a result. Great Danes' kicker Sean Kenny captured the NEC Special Teams Player of the Week award while freshman cornerback JoJo McClary won the rookie honor. Duquesne linebacker Dorian Bell made a career-high 14 tackles, including one that forced a key fumble, on his way to NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Monmouth quarterback Kyle Frazier brought the NEC Offensive Player of the Week award back to the Jersey Shore after throwing for 313 yards this past Saturday.
