Albany scored a victory over No. 23 Maine and captured two of the NEC's four weekly football awards as a result. Great Danes' kicker Sean Kenny captured the NEC Special Teams Player of the Week award while freshman cornerback JoJo McClary won the rookie honor. Duquesne linebacker Dorian Bell made a career-high 14 tackles, including one that forced a key fumble, on his way to NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
