The Citadel at NC State Game Thread

Let's face this...

The Citadel is off to their best start in 21 years and is currently at #10 (TSN, #8 AGS). But with NC State's resume below...

Week 1 - lost to the Vols 35-21 (the Vols dropped out of the FBS Top 25 last week because they lost to the Gators)
Week 2 - won a close game with UConn 10-7
Week 3 - handled ex-FCS member South Alabama 31-7

Now...

Can The Citadel surprise NC State with consistency on both ends, particularly on offense?

Remember that history is not kind to the Bulldogs' football program in general: 6-64-2 against current ACC programs and 0-4 against the Wolfpack, last victory against an ACC member was way back in 1931 (Clemson).

I'm afraid that NC State's depth can wear the Bulldogs down in the second half, but The Citadel's offense can also wear the NC State defense down in the first half.

Prediction: NC State by 7-10.

Does nc state play georgia tech every year? I think that would give them an advantage if they do.

Ga. Tech is not on their schedule this year. Maybe every other year or so.

NC State is perpetually overhyped. Even with Philip Rivers and Mario Williams, Ol' Chesty could never make anything more than average out of them, no matter how good they looked on paper.

Yes. He's pretty good, and all he has to do is stunt down and they take away the dive over the guards. We will run away from him I'm sure.

Defense looks horrible. NC St marched it right down field with little effort after Dogs forced to punt on first possession. Dog did get into NC St territory so it looks like we can move the ball somewhat.
