ELON, N.C. – North Carolina Central University got off to a sluggish start and Elon University took full advantage, as the host Phoenix scored the first 24 points of the game and cruised to a 34-14 win in front of 7,528 fans inside Rhodes Stadium on a damp Saturday night.
