Not a big fan of the British and this year's is basically on a baseball infield, but El Tigre is tearing it up.
Shot a 67 yesterday to end 1 shot back of first.
Shot a 65 today and is now 3 shots clear of 2nd

I haven't watched a single hole, the British Open does little for me unless it's at St. Andrews or Carnoustie(sp??). This years course seems to be a joke. No major championship should be -11 after two days.

I can't get worried about the scores themselves - they're all easy to change. The US Open has better scores (closer to par) because they get way too crazy changing the course, but they also shave off several strokes by taking holes that should be par 5 and just calling them par 4's instead. The hole plays the same regardless what you say the par is, all you've done is artificially modified the score. I don't see the point in shaving pars like that just to say the course is tough.

Nobody wants to watch a par and bogey fest. I like this one b/c its actually fun to watch the guys get excited when they make birdies and eagles. The course is absolutely horrid though

I don't want to see the winning score of a major championship be the same as for the John Deere Classic.

To me it's like watching the NBA or NASCAR/INDY, if it's close in the last half hour it's interesting. Otherwise, more excitement watching paint dry.

I enjoy getting up early to watch The Open with a cup of coffee.
The guys at the club pick 5, 50 bucks per sheet. Winner gets 60% of the pot, second gets 25% and third 15%. The pot for the US Open got up to almost 10K. The winner is determined by total money won by your 5 players.
I picked the usual favs...Tiger, Phil, Els and Retief. My darkhorse was Trevor Immelman. Last pick is gonna cost me.

Chris DiMarco one shot back with 6 to play. He really looks relaxed.
Sergio killing his chances with a cold putter.
Tiger playing the course well, not making any mistakes.
Can't understand why R&A officials are putting a clock on the last group. Sergio and Tiger repeatedly are backing off shots with a loud gallery, cell phones going off, and cameras clicking non stop. Friggin' relax and get off
their ass. Or do your jobs and keep control of the gallery and cameras.

One of the reasons some of us refuse to believe golf is a real sport. They don't silence the crowd when Shaq attempts to shoot a free throw or when the Steelers are trying to run a play at Foxboro. Step up, zone out the crowd & hit the ball!
