All 10 Missouri Valley Football Conference teams open play this week, including two games on Thursday, Aug. 30, and eight games Saturday, Sept. 1. Thursday’s Western Illinois-Butler and Southern Illinois-Eastern Illinois contests mark the 999th and 1,000th non-conference games in MVFC history (558-435-5 in the previous 998).
