Time to make the change. Arena did great things for USA soccer, but he has taken them as far as he could. I wouldn't be surprised to see Juergen Klinsmann as the next coach. He could drive to work instead of having to fly to Germany twice a month.

Give me Klinsy!!!! ESPN says it's likely (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=373876&root=us&cc=5901&cc=5901), which makes me ecstatic.

Bruce Arena was a good coach for the road USA soccer was taking, but it's time for a change. Klingsmann is the da' man we need!! Imagine if we played soccer like Germany '06 did? We'd have a soccer following in this country in no time!

8 years is long enough for anyone. Arena did a great job and can take satisfaction in making the US far better than it was when he took over. But you need a new infusion of thought and perspective every so often so a change isn't shocking. I like to go with Klinnsman as well - he managed to take a drab and dour Germany side and had them playing some attractive soccer.

Agreed, Klinsmann is the logical choice for the next MNT spot. :hurray:
