BROOKINGS — There’s no telling if the three-game win streak that South Dakota State put together to close the 2011 season will be applicable to 2012. Momentum does not come with a clearly marked expiration date.

The Jackrabbits would be willing to settle for a return to normalcy.

In hindsight, last fall was downright soap operatic from starting quarterback Thomas O’Brien quitting the team after Week 3, to the defense being so dinged-up it abandoned its 4-3 scheme. It was unusual and awkward for the self-proclaimed most boring program in America.

SDSU officially turned the page Thursday, unveiling new uniforms and meeting the media in advance of a fresh season. . . . (read more)
