Happy to see Doug Middleton on the list... the kid came on strong last year and has great potential. He was a little immature last year from what I've heard, but the magic cure for that (for most) is age.

NFL teams don't really have Patterso on their list. He's a CFL or AFL prospect. I'm trying to put only the names that NFL teams are looking at. If I included AFL and CFL then I'd have to add another 200 names.

Patterson is #35 on nfldraftblitz......hhhhmmm 12 qb's get drafted another 30 are free agents........numbers dont add up.....Guarantee if uninjured him McCoy Kona in NFL Camp. You dont win that conference back to back like they will do without great players. Its just an opinion from a former professional......im not a bookworm just know what I see.

Just because he is rated on one draft website or even 2 or 3 doesn't mean anything. I think those Duquesne guys are good players but not all of them are All-American players.

Also, you did tie for the league but Albany beat you and they were in the playoffs, not Duquesne. If you have 4 legit NFL players then you are going to win the NEC outright.

I'll add players as the season goes on. If they have a big year and do well at their pro day I'll certainly add them to my list.

my point is you have numerous players from different schools that arent as good as Duquesne.....................yet not one makes your list. example 4 guys from Samford??? come on you dont give the Dukes any respect. hell Dorian Bell was one of the top rated players coming out of high school and is going to destroy the NEC from reports I am hearing. He is Definitely on the NFL radar I know for a FACT. Getting on your list will not make them or break them but it just seems biased to me.

He is Definitely on the NFL radar I know for a FACT. Getting on your list will not make them or break them but it just seems biased to me.

Look at who the Samford players are. A kicker, nose guard, and receiver. There aren't any of the major positions that impact every play like running back, offensive line, quarterback, linebacker, or safety.

There is no bias against Duqesne. I have 2 players from Albany. In fact there are 9 players from the NEC and I actually had Kona and McCoy before but they did not run well at all for scouts in the spring and were not graded as prospects by the NFL Scouting Combine when they sent ratings to NFL teams in May, so I took them off.

I'll add those guys back with a big year and good performance in the postseason. Trust me, I could show you my ratings from last year and while there were players I didn't rank in the preseason or during the season I got them in after all-star games and pro days.

With respect to Kona I don't think he was as good as Gumbs and his numbers weren't really that great. McCoy only averaged 4.8 per carry, that is very low in the NEC. Patterson only completed 57.3% of his passes, which is not very high in the NEC either.

The Monmouth QB on my list is not as productive but he has a stronger arm, better size, and did complete over 60% of his passes.

The NFL is not only about production but about how a player translates to the next level. Patterson is a legit 6'1 and doesn't complete over 60% of his passes so it is tough for him to be considered more than a camp body in the NFL. I think he ends up in the AFL or CFL.

As for Bell he is on my list of underclassmen but he is rated very low because he has not produced yet. I will post my complete list of juniors at this point if you want to see his name in there. However, that list is going to change so much between now and December, let alone after I get results from the junior pro days that I figured I should just wait.

I noticed today that Aaron Mellette was ranked #48 in the Scouts Inc. Top 150 with an overall rating of 84.

I don't read that tracker much, at least not until after the combine, but I'm not shocked. I have been saying it ever since the Vandy game last year that he would be a high pick.

What most don't realize is that over these next two weeks someone is going to light up a good FBS player like Mellette did last year and they will have high draft stock in the eyes of NFL scouts. However, it will likely take until next summer for the media and most fans to catch word.

Maybe I'll predict who it will be this year around mid-season after I see who lights it up and does well in the FBS games.
